What it does
Preamp One provides Drive and Character controls, Output gain, Auto Gain and a Preamp On switch. The layout keeps the focus on changing the tone and level without adding unnecessary routing or menus.
In practice
Use it early in a channel chain to explore subtle or more obvious drive character, then balance the output against the bypassed signal. Auto Gain can make comparisons easier when the processing changes perceived loudness.
